Yoshida Shōin History Museum
The Yoshida Shōin History Museum, located within the grounds of Shōin Shrine in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan, is dedicated to the life and legacy of the influential late-Edo period thinker, Yoshida Shōin. The museum features over 70 life-sized wax figures arranged in 17 scenes that vividly depict Shōin's dynamic life, including his attempted clandestine voyage to the United States aboard an American warship in 1854.
