Tottori Sand Dunes Sand Museum

The Tottori Sand Dunes Sand Museum, located in Tottori City, Japan, is the world's first museum dedicated to sand sculptures. Established in 2006, it showcases intricate sand art created by renowned sculptors from around the globe. Each year, the museum adopts a new theme under the concept of "Traveling the World in Sand," featuring sculptures that represent different countries or regions. (sand-museum.jp)

The museum is currently closed for exhibition preparation and will reopen on April 25, 2025, with its 16th exhibition titled "Traveling the World in Sand: Japan." Admission fees are as follows:

  • Adults: 800 yen
  • Elementary, junior high, and high school students: 400 yen
  • Children under elementary school age: Free

Discounted advance tickets are available until April 24, 2025:

  • Adults: 600 yen
  • Elementary, junior high, and high school students: 300 yen
