Kyoto Ramen Street

A Gourmet Destination Showcasing Regional Japanese Ramen

About

Located on the 10th floor of the Kyoto Station Building, on the south side of the department store’s grand staircase, “Kyoto Ramen Koji” is a place where renowned ramen shops from all over Japan gather in one location. The opening hours are from 11:00 to 22:00, with last orders taken at 21:30. Each shop offers an eat-in style with indoor seating, providing visitors with a diverse ramen experience.

Here, you can enjoy distinctive ramen from across the country, such as the uniquely flavored miso ramen from Sapporo’s “Menya Kotetsu,” or the wonton noodles featuring ultra-thin wontons from Yamagata’s long-established “Wontonmen no Mangetsu.” Additionally, the pork bone soy sauce ramen from Tokushima’s “Ramen Todai” and the rich pork bone ramen from Hakata’s “Hakata Ikkousha” are also popular.

Furthermore, Kyoto-born “Mensho Takamatsu” serves tsukemen with a perfect balance of thin noodles made with stone-milled whole wheat flour and a chicken and seafood broth. In this way, Kyoto Ramen Koji is an attractive spot for many ramen enthusiasts, as it allows you to enjoy ramen culture from all over Japan in one place.
