At the southern tip of Hannan City, Osaka Prefecture, Hakotsukuri Beach, commonly known as "Pichi Pichi Beach," is a beautiful artificial swimming beach with blue sea and white sand. The sandy beach, 700 meters long and 80 meters deep, is surrounded by lush greenery and offers visitors a pleasant sense of relaxation. Since its opening on June 28, 1986 (Showa 61), this beach has continued to be loved by many people. Every year in early August, the All Japan High School Boys Beach Volleyball Tournament is held on a specially prepared beach volleyball court, with young people from all over the country gathering to compete passionately. There is also a barbecue area, walking paths in the park, and large playground equipment, making it a spot that can be enjoyed by all generations, from children to adults. Access is also convenient, being a 15-minute walk from Hakotsukuri Station on the Nankai Electric Railway Nankai Line. If coming by car, it takes about 30 minutes from the Izumisano Minami Exit on the Hanshin Expressway Route 4 Bayshore Line. The parking lot can accommodate about 1,000 vehicles, with fees of 1,300 yen per day for regular cars, 200 yen for motorcycles, and 2,500 yen for buses. (city.hannan.lg.jp)
