As you proceed through the indoor area, you will encounter the “Wine Bath,” filled with a rich aroma. Water poured from a giant wine bottle 3.6 meters long is dyed a vivid grape color, allowing you to feel as if you are soaking in a sea of wine. The wine bath, said to have been loved by Cleopatra, queen of ancient Egypt, is expected to have beautifying effects on the skin and has fascinated many people.
Going further, you will find the “Authentic Coffee Bath,” filled with the deep aroma of roasted coffee. Using Stone Wash coffee beans from Sannbon Coffee, this bath is low-temperature extracted in hot spring water, providing a pleasant stimulation and a relaxing effect. Surrounded by the scent of coffee, the moments spent healing the fatigue of everyday life are truly blissful.
If you step into the outdoor area, you will find the “Superb View Open-Air Bath,” which blends with the nature of Hakone. From an altitude of 643 meters, the view is so spectacular that on clear days you can see all the way to Sagami Bay. While gazing at the seasonal scenery, you can spend luxurious moments immersed in the hot springs.
There is also “Bozappy’s Jungle Gym,” popular with children, and the thrilling water slide “Rodeo Mountain,” making the place lively with families. Since warm water is used, you can enjoy these attractions regardless of the season, which is another appealing point.
Furthermore, in the “Motoyu Mori-no-Yu” area, where you bathe naked, there are various types of baths such as the garden open-air bath with views of the Hakone outer rim mountains and Shigaraki ware ceramic baths. At night, the area is illuminated, letting you enjoy a fantastical atmosphere different from the daytime.
